The Art House is hosting their Open Annual Member’s Exhibition during the Art Walk on the 27th July 2011 at the Art House.
Artists from across the UK will be exhibiting their work in Wakefield as part of the Member’s Open Exhibition. A variety of unique artworks will be on public display, and will open it’s doors for the Wakefield Artwalk taking place on the 27th July 2011. A selection of work will be for sale, offering members of the public the chance to take home original and affordable art.
Members vary from artists at the beginning of their careers to established practitioners. The Open Annual Members Exhibition is the first exhibition of its kind to be held in The Art House’s purpose built studios on Drury Lane.

Journeyman (Detail) 2011
Victoria Lucas curated Open with the assistance of Art House intern Nicola Beattie. The exhibition comprises over 90 works, and over 60 artists, making it the largest exhibition Victoria Lucas has curated to date. The exhibition comprises a wide range of mediums, including sculpture, photography, printmaking, ceramics, stained glass, painting and textiles.
